You can play 9 different games at Pinnacle Poker Tables. These are: Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha High/Low, Sökö, 7-card stud, 7-card stud High/Low, 5-card draw, 2-7 triple draw & 32-Card Draw.
You will find complete User Rules with terms and conditions for your participation in the game, rules for the different card plays that we offer and tournament rules by clicking here.
We recommend that all our players visit the Pinnacle Sports Poker School. Here you will find the rules, an introduction to the game Texas Hold'em and some tactical tips on how the game is played. Even experienced players should find information of interest. For all other games there are Rules on the Pinnacle site.
In the Lobby you can view all the tables for all 8 different types of poker games. If you highlight a table you can see who is playing and how many chips all the players have. From here you can go to the table you desire, either by double-clicking on the table or by highlighting it and pressing the Go To button. To join the game you simply click on an empty seat and buy chips. If all seats are full you can add your Player ID to the Waiting List, which will alert you when a seat becomes available.
As soon as 2 active players (anyone who is shown as "away" is considered inactive) are seated at the table the game will start in 30 seconds.
No, the only way to do this is to first leave the table and then come back. You will then be treated as new player and if there are players on the Waiting List, you may not be able to join the game again immediately.
If you wish to register for a tournament; put the marker on the desired tournament in the poker lobby and click on the "Register" button.
You will get a confirmation of your registration and the tournament you are registered for will show in bold text. Once you have registered, the "Register" button will change to a "Deregister" button in case you want to cancel your registration.
Once the tournament starts, the table you are allocated to will open automatically if you are logged in to the Poker software or as soon as you log in. If you are not logged in to the Poker software, and do not log in to join the tournament while it is running, you will still be seated and blinded out until all your chips are used and you are eliminated from the tournament.
Please remember to check the rules of the tournament to see how long before the tournament starts registration closes. If you are unable to participate in a tournament for which you have registered, you have to deregister within this time window. If you do not deregister in time, you will forfeit the buy-in and fees, even if you do not participate!
Yes, but first you must have your hand history option enabled. You can do this by clicking on "Options" in the Poker Lobby and then on "Hand History Options". Once there, you have two options for saving your hand history:
NOTE: In order to save your hand history successfully, you have to have admin rights to your machine!
Pinnacle Poker uses a weighted contributed rake system. One VIP point is rewarded for each €0.50 that has been contributed in rake. When a player bets money into the pot, he/she also contributes an amount into the rake. The amount of VIP-points awarded to the player per hand is based on the player’s contribution into the pot and consequently into the rake. If the player’s rake contribution is less than €0.50, then the player is awarded with the partial VIP-points. The maximum rake that can be taken from the pot is €3, thus the player can earn up to 3 VIP-points per hand. The players that do not contribute any money into the pot are not rewarded with any VIP-points.
VIP points are also awarded for participation in tournaments. If you participate in a scheduled multi-table tournament or a Sit & Go you will receive 1 VIP point for each €0.50 paid in tournament fee.
No VIP points will be awarded, if VIP points are used to settle the tournament buy-in cost.
VIP Points can be used to settle tournament buy-in costs for any tournament where this is noted.
Yes, it is possible to play at different tables at the same time (however, the software is rather demanding on your computer so it may not work for everyone). When it is time to act at a table, the table will "pop-up" in front of the other table. Playing at two tables is only recommended for experienced players and you must make sure that you are not slowing down the games for the other players.
All our FunMoney games are absolutely free of charge. If you play for real money a small charge - called rake - is taken from the pot. Only pots where there is a flop (in Texas Holdem or Omaha) or a third card is dealt (in Soko) or a fourth card is dealt (in 7-stud) or a draw is made (in 5-Draw) are raked. Only players who are dealt cards (active players) are counted as being seated.
No Limit, Pot Limit€0.05 per € 1.00 and capped at € 0.75 for 2 players, € 2.00 for 3-4 players and € 3,00 for 5-10 players. Pots smaller than € 2.00 will have a rake of € 0.01 per € 0.20.
1/2 Pot Limit€0.05 per € 1.00 and capped at € 0.75 for 2-3 players, € 2.00 for 4-5 players and € 3,00 for 6-10 players. Pots smaller than € 2.00 will have a rake of € 0.01 per € 0.20.
Fixed Limit and Spread Limit (€0.02/€0.04 to €0.50/€1.00)€ 0.05 per € 1.00 and capped at € 0.75 for 2-3 players and € 1.00 for 4-10 players. Pots smaller than € 2.00 will have a rake of € 0.01 per € 0.20.
Fixed Limit and Spread Limit (€1.00/€2.00) € 0.25 per € 5.00 and capped at € 0.75 for 2-3 players and € 2.00 for 4-10 players.
Fixed Limit and Spread Limit (€2.00/€4.00 and up) € 0.50 per € 10.00 and capped at € 0.75 for 2-3 players and € 2.00 for 4-10 players.
Pinnacle Sports Poker’s main priority is to create a secure gaming environment that offers unbeatable value to our customers. We do everything to make sure that our games are fair and honest. Pinnacle Sports Poker does not participate in any poker games and only hosts the games.
If you get disconnected during play the software will attempt to reconnect you automatically and return you back to your seat. Since you sometimes may have connection problems with your Internet Service Provider (ISP), we recommend our players to have an alternative ISP in case of a connection problem. If you do not act when it is your turn while still in the pot you will be marked away thus you will check if possible and fold to any bet.
In the unfortunate event in which you can not act due to a disconnection, you might get treated as “Artificial all-in”, which means that you will be marked as all-in as if you have run out of chips when you placed your last bet/called and thus only be eligible for the pot up to the point when you last invested money. Please note that “Artificial all-ins” only can occur in Fixed Limit ring games and not in any other betting types (Pot Limit, No Limit etc) or in tournaments.
Most likely you haven't answered a dialogue box and the table has popped up in front of it. To be able to act you need to minimize the table, answer the question and then open the table again.
If a server stops working, then all hands in play will be cancelled. The players’ chips will be returned to the respective poker account as soon as the server is restarted. The last hand will be cancelled if it had not been approved by the database. This can also be seen in the hand history on the bottom line as "This hand did not end. This hand has been cancelled". In tournaments, the game will be frozen and restarted automatically after a few minutes. If the tournament cannot be restarted, the remaining players will equally share the pot irrespective of the amount of chips they had at the time.
Windows Vista players are able to download and play poker at Pinnacle Sports Poker but please be aware that Windows Vista prevents any subsequent automated updates to the software. Therefore, when upgrades are made to the poker client each month, Windows Vista users must re-install the poker client to continue playing.
Windows Vista users are recommended to play the Web based client instead.
At the moment the download version of the Poker Client can only be run under Windows.
The web client will be downloaded to the local computer in the background and will then start automatically. It doesn't need to be installed manually. The first time the web client is started, the size of the downloaded files is about 5 Mb. This information is stored in the cache and the next time the user starts the client from the same web page, a check is done to see if there is a new version. If there is no new version, the cached information will be used and no additional download is needed.
The browser version of the poker client is not installed as an application on your PC and there will be no installed program visible from the start menu. It must be started from the web page each time you wish to play.
The browser based version of the poker client uses a signed applet which lets the applet act just like the downloadable poker client after the user has agreed to trust the signed code.
Yes, the web version of the Pinnacle Sports Poker client offers almost the same features as the downloadable poker client. It is only not possible to save passwords, user notes or hand histories when accessing Pinnacle Sports Poker via the browser based web client.
If you do not have Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed on your PC and you are using a browser listed in the System Requirements, you will be redirected to a download page where you can obtain the latest version of the Java Runtime Environment. We have seen problems with certain versions of browsers that have problems with this functionality so we recommend you to have the Java Runtime Environment installed before running the web client.
If you are connecting to the web version of the poker client, your firewall must be configured in the same way as the normal client.
Yes, upgrades are updated automatically. However, you may be required to restart your browser to apply the update.
