Redcorn is a consistent MTT player with multiple posts every week. A couple of recent bigger posts include a second-place finish in the Sunday 500 event in July for $63,500 and a third-place result in the Full Tilt Poker $750k Guaranteed for another $52,500. He also won the Stars Nightly Hundred Grand for $24,200. Just this last week he posted two finishes, both worth over $20K. He also had a win in the $162 buy-in Nightly Hundred Grand on July 4 for another $19K.
Redcorn doesn’t seem to have any live tournament cashes so far in his poker career. A high-volume online MTT player, Redcorn plays numerous tournaments each day. His playing schedule isn’t as intense as it once was, and if you look at his results you can find periods of time where he stays away from the game for days, even weeks. He must be out enjoying some of the huge profits he’s won over the last couple of years.
Redcorn is not very fussy about the style of action that he plays. He’ll play deep stack events as well as turbo ones. He plays re-buy events and short-tabled games; it doesn’t seem to matter to him. Unlike most 23-year-old players he’s already expanding the action that he’ll play and he’s not limiting himself to the saturated no limit holdem games that are everywhere online today.
Redcorn’s location must have a lot to do with the fact that he is limited to a small amount of live action. There may be a Latin Poker Tour now, but that’s only a couple of events each year, hardly enough to hone one’s live tournament skills. So for now at least Redcorn will have to continue to travel to Vegas to get in his live tournament action.
