Freeroll Poker Tournaments

Online Freeroll Poker Tournaments

Introduction
A Freeroll poker tournament doesn’t cost you anything to enter and you can win some great prizes. Freerolls are very popular, since you’ve got nothing to lose but a lot of chances to win.

Freeroll Tournaments Explained
Freeroll Tournaments work in exactly the same way as multi-table tournaments with players at numerous tables competing for one another’s chips as the blinds and/or antes increase incrementally.

As players are eliminated, tables are “broken”, meaning players are re-assigned to keep tables full, or even sized. Eventually, the last few surviving players with chips are assigned to the final table, where the eventual winner is the individual who wins all the chips from his or her opponents.

Cash prizes are awarded to the top finishers based on the number of tournament entries or the size of the guaranteed prize pool. As in single table tournaments, the blinds increase on pre-set intervals, usually once every 10 or 15 minutes.

Rules

1. All tournaments will begin promptly at the time stated in the tournament lobby.

2. Registration opening and closing times are shown in the tournament lobby.

3. Seats are assigned at random.

4. Unless otherwise advertised, all players will begin with the same amount of chips

5. The button will start in seat 1.

6. The tournament ends when one player wins all of the chips in play.

7. If two or more players are eliminated on the same hand, the player who began the hand with more chips receives the higher placing. If players started the hand with the same number of chips, they will tie for position and any prize money will be split evenly.

8. Tables will be balanced automatically during a tournament to maintain an even number of players on all tables.

9. Pinnacle Sports Poker uses the ‘dead button rule’ to ensure that all players take their blinds in turn. As such, it is possible that a player may receive the button for more than one hand when players are eliminated in certain circumstances.

10. At stages of the tournament where prize money comes into effect, and there is more than one table remaining, the tournament may be played ‘hand-for-hand’. This means that all hands on all tables will start at the same time.

11. When only two players remain, the button will post the small blind and act first before the flop.

12. Prizes will be awarded as stated in the tournament lobby.

13. By participating in a tournament, players accept the risk of Internet disconnection due to problems with the connection between the player’s computer and our game servers. This is sometimes caused by lag, freezing, packet loss or some other problem with the player’s computer. We do not accept any responsibility for a player disconnect except in the event of a server crash.

14. Poker is an individual game and team play is not allowed. Instances of team play include soft play, chip dumping and any play deemed to be unethical.

15. If a player has registered for a tournament but does not take part for whatever reason their chips will be blinded off and the player will de deemed to have participated. No refund will be given.

16. English is the only language allowed in a tournament unless the tournament has been designated a region specific tournament.

17. We do not sanction, facilitate or enforce deals. Deal making is not allowed in the chat box at the table.

18. Tournament registration must meet the minimum requirement for that event or the tournament will be cancelled. In this event all buy-ins and entry fees will be refunded to the players’ accounts.

19. In the event that a tournament is cancelled due to technical difficulties, players who were already eliminated from the event will lose their buy-in and entry fee. The remaining players in the tournament will be paid the prize money based on their chip stacks and standings in the tournament at the time of cancellation.

20. Pinnacle Sports Poker reserves the right to disqualify any player who breaks tournament rules or acts inappropriately during a tournament.

21. Pinnacle Sports Poker reserves the right to change any tournament time or event without prior notice.

22. Pinnacle Sports Poker reserves the right to amend the tournament rules without prior notice.

23. In case of dispute the decision of Pinnacle Sports Poker is final.
